This is the eastern entry and exit chord to Alloa New Yard near Alloa West signal box in November 1985. Signal 37 and points 38 (Alloa West frame) are shown. Running straight ahead is the yard up arrival line while the branch to the right is the yard down departure line. The last traffic to use these lines consisted of sporadic coal trucks to and from Alloa Co-op siding accompanied by a Class 20 and brake van. These movements ended around 1982, but the redundant infrastructure was left in place for a few years before being formally closed and dismantled.
