Meadows signal box was between the two pairs of lines which pass under Seafield Road. It was in the middle of this picture, taken on 12th February 2018. Looking west. The moribund South Leith (or Leith South) branch lies between the fence and the digger engaged in intriguing groundwork. These are Network Rail vans on the right. I wonder what is going on; is the branch being measured up for a coffin, perhaps? For a yesteryear photo, see:
