An approaching 12-car Brighton – London Bridge service passes a Horsham train on the Quarry Line just south of Stoats Nest Junction in the Summer of 2002. The area on the right, consisting of wasteland and a scrapyard, had been occupied by Coulsdon North station and carriage sidings until closure in 1983 see image 43249. (Rail travellers continued to be well served by other nearby stations including Coulsdon Town and Coulsdon South). The location has since been redeveloped and the A23 Coulsdon relief road now runs through the site.
