Nethertown station was a passing loop until the 1970s but only one platform is in use now. This remote but atmospheric halt on the Cumbrian Coast sees four 'on request' services each way on weekdays. This was the scene on a sunny 8th March 2018, looking towards St Bees Head, with two passengers waiting for the train.
