Stirling
The first generation DMU stabling area adjacent to Platform 1 at Stirling in June 1989. The veteran units present – two Class 107 and a Swindon-MetCam hybrid – were close to the end of their working lives. The area later became a car park. Probably the last regular passenger service to use Platform 1 was the 17.58 Stirling to Bridge of Allan and Dunblane. This ran 1985-1986 as a connecting service for the newly re-opened Bridge of Allan station.
