Bonnyrigg
One of the imitation totems at Bonnyrigg station site. How does it compare with the real thing? Size and shape: excellent. Colour: excellent. Lining: excellent. Font: brave effort. Totems were a standard size (36 x 10 inches) so longer names had to have smaller lettering. Neighbouring Rosewell & Hawthornden's lettering would be considered illegible by today's standards.
