158 710 calls at Kirknewton on a Glasgow to Edinburgh service on 22 March. On this line 158s seem to be favoured for the stopping services leaving 156s for the semi-fasts. This is perhaps counter-intuitive and I wonder what the reason is. Maybe the 158s have better acceleration for the frequent stops.
