Harrington Church Road Halt

Just south of Harrington Church Road the old Lowca track bed runs through open countryside with sea views. A little further south was another small halt, known as Archer Street, following which trains were faced with a 1:17 gradient for 285 yards, reportedly the steepest passenger line in the UK to be worked by adhesion. Passenger services ceased in 1926 and freight in 1973.
