Hamilton Junction
A Motherwell to Milngavie service approaches Newton station on Saturday 19 May. I hope I can be forgiven for getting an insulator slightly in the way but I couldn't really see what I was doing! The single track to the left of the 40 sign allows access to the main line and therefore east side of the Hamilton Circle, but despite what the ScotRail route map tells you has no scheduled service. The track immediately behind it is the reversing stub for the Cathcart Lines trains - when required.
