Bamber Bridge
The number of traditional mechanical boxes still in use in Lancashire in 2018 is down to single figures. This is Bamber Bridge on the East Lancashire line on 18th July. The line itself came under the control of Preston PSB in 1972 but Bamber Bridge has continued to control the busy level crossing although it is now on borrowed time.
