Stirling
From the 1990s onward, Stirling station became reputable for having platforms 2 to 10, but no platform 1. However, this was not strictly true because the latter did exist, albeit hidden from view in a truncated form, and had track to serve it. This photo shows platform 1 at Stirling on 7th August 2018 when it was hosting a 'cherry picker' resting between nocturnal electrification duties.
