After bypassing the station, and the driver quickly changing ends, the 1713 from Kyle of Lochalsh to Elgin waits to continue its journey at Platform 4 at Inverness on 17th August 2018. This is the only timetabled train to use the chord past Inverness station before arriving at it!.
