Buxton Shed (LNWR)
Beyond the Buxton to Whaley Bridge line a new piece of the railway network is under construction on 11th September 2018, albeit only a 430m extension to the existing Up Relief Sidings at Buxton. The sidings are effectively a loop and currently allow locomotives to run round their trains to and from the Hindlow Branch and also to allow charter trains to access the station when arriving from Peak Forest. The extension will increase the capacity of the loop from 18 to 26 wagons.
