Niddrie West Junction
With the E&G main line closed for engineering works at Haymarket, Sunday 2 April 2006 saw all Waverley traffic arriving and departing from the east end of the station. Here SPT liveried 156508 is about to leave the single line of the sub from Portobello at Niddrie West Junction and join the double track section westbound. The train is a football special from Waverley to Kings Park. In the background an eastbound shuttle from Glasgow Queen Street is held waiting for the special to clear the junction.
