In November 2018, the last remnant of the Dunblane, Doune and Callander Railway once again re-emerged from its overgrown graveyard to welcome new traffic. After long years in disuse, the track was cleared to stable the electrification wiring train. Notable are the various layers of protection for the main line which reflect the history of railway safety measures. Perchance to dream of a future reopening and electrification to Callander?
