Garroch Viaduct
One of the supporting pillars of Garroch viaduct, approximately half a mile west of Maxwelltown on the former Port Road between Dumfries and Stranraer, seen here in 2007. The structure was classified as dangerous many years ago and is inaccessible to the public. Demolition has been considered. Warning sign courtesy of the now defunct BR Board (Residuary).
