This 1998 view looks west at where the curve from Hepscott Junction (behind the camera) doubles before it reaches Barmoor Sidings and Morpeth Junction. From 1862 to 1872 this was (roughly) where passenger trains from the Wansbeck Railway reversed to reach the Blyth and Tyne's Morpeth terminus.
