The impressive clock tower dominates the entrance to Whitley Bay Station on 25 November 2018 and is complemented by the formidable presence of a K4 telephone call box. The K4 is survivor of a single batch of 50, introduced around 1930. It is still possible to make a call or post a letter but alas, it isn't possible to purchase a stamp. Interestingly, non-working examples can be seen on heritage railways at Bury Transport Museum, Bewdley And Cranmore.
