Sipplingen
Trailer car 928.549 and power car 628.549 about to depart Sipplingen on the Friedrichshafen to Radolfzell shuttle service. These units are part of one of the second series (comprising about 300 sets) of lightweight DMUs built for DB branch line use between 1993 and 1995. Originally allocated to Braunschweig, it probably now operates out of Ulm - with thanks to Bill Jamieson for locomotive information. The Bodensee (Lake Constance) is just visible through the trees to the left of the train. Interestingly, although this line is not electrified, the warning sign clearly depicts an electric locomotive!
