Hoole
The view east along Station Road at Hoole from the level crossing at the old station site on 6th February 2019. Station and line closed in September 1964 but the main level crossing gates (just) survive on the Southport side along with the smaller wicket gates. The signal box stood immediately to the right of this small gate. There is a scattering of houses on Station Road but Hoole village centre is over half a mile away (on the main bus route).
