Black Devon Viaduct
Approximately two miles east of Alloa station, the S&D route crossed a substantial viaduct over the Black Devon. View is east towards Dunfermline on 28 February 2008, with the site of Clackmannan Road station directly behind the camera. The tall square chimney in the background is part of the remains of Cherryton Brickworks. This large rail-served works officially closed in 1976. For a view of the viaduct from below see image 18276.
