Glasterlaw Junction

Black 5 4-6-0 45155 passing the site of Glasterlaw Junction with an Aberdeen - Buchanan Street express in the spring of 1953. View north along the trackbed of the line that once ran south to Arbroath via Friockheim Junction (closed in 1908). The St Rollox based locomotive was one of only 5 of the class to carry names in main line service, in this case 'The Queen's Edinburgh' between 1942 and 1944. [Ref query 18 March 2019]
