Glasgow Queen Street High Level
Not a child's chalkmarks for hopscotch, but place markings for the next stage of the works in Queen Street station. Buffer stops for the about-to-be-extended platforms 2, 3, 4 and 5 will be installed behind site hoardings relocated 5m further forward. Beneath the child's feet the trackbed has already been excavated and infilled with polystyrene blocks. This area is due to be uncovered again in June.
