A Class 142 re-enters Metrocentre station to form the returning shuttle service to Newcastle. Class 142s are a novel experience for me, but I can understand why regular commuters view them unfavourably. The doors (of which they seem to be one short each side) open like a bus doors, and funnily enough. ... If that is the platform lighting they chose I'm wondering what on earth was rejected.
