A postcard view of two of the many vessels which have operated on Loch Awe. David Hutcheson & Co's S.S. 'Lochawe' at seen at Ford on Loch Awe in 1907. She was built by Inglis in 1876 and assembled at Ford. From 1880, with the opening of the last section of the Callander and Oban Railway from Dalmally to Oban, she additionally called at Loch Awe station's pier. She was withdrawn in 1914 and scrapped in 1924. In the background is the Countess of Breadalbane (I), operated by the Lochawe Hotel and passed on to the Caledonian Steam Packet at the grouping. She was replaced by a vessel of the same name in 1936.
