Civitavecchia is officially the Port of Rome, although some fifty miles from the city. Alongside one of the internal port roads these elderly railcars were stabled in March 2019. They looked well maintained but had drawn curtains at the windows so I couldn't see the interiors. I asked if anyone had any information about them and what they are used for and Alistair McLellan advises that they are used on private charters for cruise passengers running to S. Pietro station in the heart of Rome see image 69731 although others have said they don't see much regular use.
