Salwick
Loco hauled trains are rare on the Blackpool line but the weather on 16th August 2019 was such that 37218 had to be photographed from the comparatively dry waiting shelter at Salwick station. This was a Network Rail Measurement Train heading from Blackpool North to Derby, but visiting Clitheroe and the Bentham line to Morecambe on the way with 37259 on the rear on this leg. DRS has just announced the phased withdrawal of their Class 20s and 37s and replacement by modern traction.
