Helmsdale
The Helmsdale Painter. A view looking east of Helmsdale station in 1989. If you have a copy of 'Scotland's Stations: A travellers' Guide' turn to page 88 (Helmsdale) to find a photograph of a painter at the station. I had a copy of this book with me when I took this photograph and, on enquiring, the painter confirmed this was himself many years earlier. The conversation then turned to the shed and days past.
