Looking south east across the River Isla in the summer of 2007. The old piers once carried the Blairgowrie branch south towards its junction with the Caledonian Railway's Strathmore main line on the west side of Coupar Angus, one mile away. The branch closed to passenger traffic in 1955 but remained open for freight for a further 10 years.
