A Class 40 loco with charter headboard waits in the early dawn light to depart for Kyle of Lochalsh. This was the Aberdeen Students' Charities Campaign 'Skye Train' (any similarity in naming to Freddie Laker's trans-Atlantic Skytrain was not entirely coincidental). Every year a new slogan was devised to persuade Aberdonians to part with their hard-earned money which they did and continue to do in huge quantities. I do not think that year's slogan was my favourite ever when compared to the likes of 'Heresatintoputitin' but at least it was better than 'Brakrabank' of the previous year see https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6002006. The figure in the middle is Angus the bull, symbol of the campaign (as in Aberdeen Angus?) but is clearly of the Highland breed!
