South Shields [NER]
A recent view from River Drive bridge, South Shields, showing extensive construction works, possibly with below ground inspection pits, taking place where previously a run round loop, extending beyond the former, recently relocated, South Shields Metro terminus, ran to below the bridge See image 47906. I have since been advised that this is the early construction phase of the new Nexus training centre and stabling facilities for the Tyne & Wear Metro operation
