Selkirk Junction

Langlee footbridge, seen in 2003. This footbridge was built to connect the Langlee estate with the south bank of the Gala Water, crossing the railway and river. Interestingly it was fitted with smoke deflectors, the bridge dating from before 1962. The location is immediately east of the former Selkirk Junction. Beyond the bridge the infilled section of cutting which ran east to Galafoot Road (now Winston Road) can be seen. See image 78839.
