Harold Wood station, Essex, originally opened in 1868 and rebuilt with four platforms in 1934 during the final quadrupling of the line between Romford and Shenfield, seen here looking east in the rain on 24th October 2009. The platforms on the fast tracks (right) are no longer in use and, since this photo was taken, the down fast on the right hand side of the central island platform has been fenced off from the up slow on the left.
