Refurbished LUL 1972 stock train on a Bakerloo Line service to Elephant & Castle, heading away from the camera as it departs from Embankment station, on 7th December 2019. These trains are currently the oldest on the London Underground but all due for replacement within the next two or three years. This station is an interchange with the LUL Circle, District and Northern Lines and was known as Charing Cross until 1979. The next station north on the Bakerloo Line that was originally called Trafalgar Square was renamed Charing Cross at the same time.
