Torksey

Located on the MS&L route midway between Lincoln and Retford, Torksey Viaduct over the River Trent is one of the earliest examples of box-girder construction. Designed by John Fowler and opened to traffic in 1850, the last train crossed in 1959. The listed structure was reopened to pedestrians in 2016. Cottam power station is about a mile off to the left.
