Newtongrange [Village]
The surviving cast iron gatepost at the site of the level crossing in Newtongrange, once used by the line into the Lothian Brick & Tile Works. View north across Dalhoussie Road on 16 February 2019 with Main Street off to the right. Note the large sign and arrow indicating the main road to Edinburgh. This is in addition to the standard road traffic direction signs. Doubtless intended to try and avoid confusion caused by the unusual double roundabout here, shown at image 71420.
