Running alongside a stretch of the A61 Ripon by-pass running north on the eastern flank of the town are two lengthy extant sections of embankment that ran north to meet with the now demolished Ure Viaduct. In the northern section there are still two almost complete accommodation rail overbridges visible from passing traffic. This view looking west shows the bridge sited near the south end of this section.
