The gravestone of Sir Thomas Bouch in Edinburgh's Dean Cemetery. As well as costing the lives of everyone aboard the ill-fated train on the Tay Bridge, Bouch's cost-cutting approach also gave us railways built on the cheap to Peebles (all those level crossings) and St Andrews (should have been a mainline spur) which proved not fit for purpose and have left those towns without trains.
