Up side exterior of Tunbridge Wells, a Grade II Listed Building since 1974, on 16th August 2013. This station opened on 25th November 1846, replacing an earlier one that had opened on 20th September 1845. It was a terminus until 1851 when the extension to Robertsbridge opened and through to Hastings in the following year. This station was known as Tunbridge Wells Central from 1923 to 1986. On the date of this photo, Sunday engineering works saw replacement buses running between here and Tonbridge until mid-afternoon.
