Shepherd's Bush

378209, with a London Overground service from Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction, arriving at Shepherd's Bush station on 4th September 2013. This section of the West London Line had closed to regular traffic in 1940 but remained open for freight and summer excursions to the south coast until fully reopened in 1994 with a service of diesel units between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction. This was later electrified and became part of London Overground in 2007 with Shepherd's Bush station opening more or less on the site of Uxbridge Road station, that had closed in 1940, in 2008. Most London Overground trains now work through all the way from Clapham Junction to Stratford via Hampstead Heath and the station is also served by Southern services between Milton Keynes Central and East Croydon.
