Blackbyres Junction [CR]
This road bridge (Caplethill Road) is half way between Blackbyres Junction (Caledonian) and the never opened Glenfield station. The view, in 1998, is to the west showing the overgrown trackbed. Running from left to right in the background is the closed G&SW Gleniffer Depot branch, Thornley Park Junction being to the right. The road bridge carried the Paisley District Tramways Company tramway from Paisley to Barrhead, which led to the Caledonian never opening its stations.
