The vast Meadowside Granary complex was located at Meadowbank Quay, west of the confluence of the Rivers Clyde and Kelvin, on the north bank of the Clyde. One of the buildings was 13 storeys tall with a Clyde Port Authority control tower on top. The granary was rail served from the Clydeside Tramway (west approach) and Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Railway (east approach). This view is to the south in 2000, showing an internal line with granary buildings to left and right and the long quayside building beyond. The cranes in the distance are on the south bank of the River Clyde at the Govan Shipyard.
