Looking across the turntable pit towards Aviemore North SB in April 1977. There is also a significant quantity of dressed stone around the pit and in a heap in the middle distance on the right. I suspect that the turntable pit had been recently excavated but I had wondered which building had been demolished to produce all the dressed stone? A suggestion has been received from Bill Roberton that it had come from the coaling stage which had been located nearby.
