Torwoodlee South Viaduct
Wide view showing the major works underway on Torwoodlee South Viaduct and approaches on the north side of Galashiels in September 2013. Considerable restoration was required on the old bridge in preparation for reopening of the Borders line, including provision of a new deck (see 28473). The Peebles loop began to diverge west from the Waverley Route approximately half a mile to the right at Kilnknowe Junction and at this point passed just behind the camera.
