Halsall

The site of Halsall station, closed to passengers in 1938 and goods traffic in 1952, seen on 14th August 2020. The middle of these three houses is sited where the station building stood, but appears to be a modern construction rather than a rebuild. Halsall was less than a mile from Downholland, but both had full station facilities and goods yards, despite serving tiny local villages, and of course a substantial bridge to carry the road over the LSPJR rather than a level crossing.
