A look 'ashore' along Granton Middle Pier where the wooden station was situated to the right of the newer brick building. Nowadays this is more of a quay than a pier as the West Harbour has been filled in here. The streets on the right are called 'Hesperus' - an odd choice of ship as thanks to Longfellow it is surely more famous as a wreck.
