Reedsmouth Shed
Head-on view of the former locomotive shed at Reedsmouth on the Border Counties line, closed by BR in 1952. The shed, latterly a sub to 52C Blaydon, stood in the V of the junction to the north of the station between the Border Counties line to Riccarton Junction (left) and the Wansbeck Valley route to Morpeth. The building is seen here being used by the local farmer in November 2007, some 55 years after the last locomotive left. For a view of the shed from the station signal box in 1963 see 35727.
