Moss Lane Junction
The 1001 hrs service from Ormskirk to Preston starts the descent to Farington Curve Junction as it passes the site of Moss Lane Junction on 17 December 2020. The other line that used to be here diverged to the right and headed towards Lostock Hall providing a direct link from East Lancashire to Liverpool. At one time both these lines were double track.
