Port Glasgow Junction

The signalman looks out from a window of Port Glasgow Junction signal box on 20 July 1963, just as Black 5 no 45320 runs past with a Glasgow Central - Wemyss Bay service. The box, located a half a mile east of Port Glasgow station, controlled access to the harbour branch (by this date just the shipyards) as well as Port Glasgow Goods yard on the south side of the line.
