This is the original course of the West Highland Railway by Loch Treig taken in 2005 at a small bridge where the line passed over a minor burn. The present alignment is above to the right and the Loch Treig Tunnel is above and behind the camera. Ahead is the site of the Loch Treig Base Camp from which a small puffer operated to lochside construction locations to the south with materials. Note that the water was unusually low and this location is usually some way underwater. View looks north towards Loch Treig Dam.
